The BEST OF Fashion Week S/S 2010

Alexander Wang S/S 10

Every year since I was a little girl I have wanted to attend New York and London Fashion week, Sadly Yet another year has gone by where I have not made it to either. One day… Tear…

Although I did not make it, I have searched every blog and fashion magazine to get the inside scoop on all the new collections designers have in store for their Spring Collections. For those of you who haven’t checked them all out, I am here to make it easier for you and give you a brief re cap of my fave designers and looks.

Alexander Wang S/S 10

I will first off start with the love of my life Alexander Wang. Every year he never fails to amaze me.  His concentrated theme of this season was incorporating high end sportswear into every element of his collection. Although some of his pieces are hard to fathom ever wearing, for some reason he just makes the silliest thing look amazing and super cool.  Like who would have ever thought of wearing sweatpants to a party was cool? Seriously Wang has done it again.

House of Holland SS 10

House of Holland:

His collection demonstrates the opposite of class and is extremely tacky and tasteless. You got to give him credit however for providing entertainment. None of his stuff is ready to wear with the exception of those daring fashionistas. I have always been one to step out of the box when it comes to my wardrobe. So for me, a part really enjoys this collection, but I totally understand if you all think I’m crazy for thinking so.

Luella

Luella:

How cute is this dress? I don’t know much about Luella but I do know that this dress is the cutest most adorable thing I ever did see. She has some other very cute and ultra feminine pieces in her collection, this dress just really stood out for me.

Antonio Berardi SS 10

Antonio Berardi:

Studied and pursued his love for fashion at Central Saint Martins and has applied his Italian heritage into the mix of his collections. He mastered the art of producing super sexy feminine designs. A little on the slutty side but hey it works for me.

Roksanda Illincic SS 10

Roksanda IIincic:

She developed and improved her fashion talent at Central St Martins in Women’s wear. This season’s collection was charming, elegant and sophisticated. She demonstrated the art of beautiful tailoring and her work consisted of strong shoulders and elegantly draped dresses and pants.  Her work channels the feminine feel of the past while applying a modern twist to it.

ERIN WASSON X RVCA SS 10

ERIN WASSON X RVCA

In her third year of her own clothing line, she has definitely made a name for her self. Her stuff is so effortlessly cool, which follows a hippie (no care in the world) trend. All of it channeled Wasson’s super cool vintage taste.

Since I did not have the privileged to attend either London or New York fashion week I was unable to take my own photos, all my images are courtesy of Style.com.

Until next time
