RUD styled by RUDSAK Fall 2011/12- MFW 20

For the first night of Montreal Fashion Week the weather Gods behaved themselves as the fashionably inclined descended upon Marche Bonsecours for the RUD styled by RUDSAK unveiling.

RUD (RUDSAK’s bridge label designed by Damien Lekatis – formerly of Hilary Radley) displayed all the stylish essentials fit for a Canadian winter. Breaking away from the sleek, mainly leather coats and jackets we are used to, RUD was composed of 24 female looks and 6 male looks designed to enhance your personality.

A mainly black collection with hints of grey, brown and cognac, everything from woven, draped ponchos to down-filled, irridescent nylon puffers paraded down the catwalk showing us, it’s all good for Fall 2011/12!

Don’t be afraid to mix your fabrics and textures either! Knits with leather, wovens with nylon and many things trimmed or contrasted with fur creates new shapes and further aids in expressing ones individuality at a cost that won’t break the bank.

Only presentation draw back, the music! I am not a fan of that “Oakenfold” hard trance which left me drained.

Check out the vibe backstage and to the finale at the RUD by Rudsak show.
