ENVERS by Yves Jean Lacasse: Fall 2011/12 – MFW20

The artful designs of Yves Jean Lacasse found its way back to Montreal Fashion Week this year for ENVERS Fall Winter 2011/12 collection. Always the romantic, Lacasse revealed elegant pieces that exuded elements of amore, ethnicity, and a touch of history. The show featured adventurous gypsy fashion in colorful tones for men and women blending lace with silk, frock coats with hats, and beautifully-tailored oversized sleeves. The collection takes us back to worldly fashion of cultural essence and aesthetic beauty.

The fur craze once again made its runway appearance, creations by “Starlight for ENVERS,” on luxuriant, printed coats and delicate shawls. The folkloric-inspired pieces materialized in the form of haute couture as seen on long bustier dresses and glossy gowns. And for the finale; a majestic white long dress with an elegantly embroidered wrap, an ensemble that truly topped it off.
