Denis Gagnon Spring 2012 – MFW 21

At Denis Gagnon for Spring 2012, we are introduced to a “coquettish” hybrid world where the city girl equally wears her countryside with pride and vice versa. How does this translate you may ask? Think, structured blazer in the front and softly tailored knit in the back. Think, cotton floral prints worn with leather. And finally think, laminated plaid contrasting pinstripes. Denis does it again!

To the folly of a saucy French soundtrack, a flurry of models paraded around the prestigious Birk’s  jewelry store on St. Catherine Street, for a who’s who of fashion industry professionals and celebrity guests all anticipating the next look to be presented. Not your regular catwalk presentation, this finale also featured an all female wedding. Quite a departure from his generally “serious” shows, this light-hearted presentation and collection hopefully also means that the designer is in an equally good place! Bravo Denis…Bravo!!!
