Day 1, Montreal Fashion Week 19: Marie Saint Pierre and Eve Gravel

MARIE SAINT PIERRE unveiled her Spring/Summer 2011 collection at her design studio for an intimate encounter with the designer. The choice of location was a reflection of her constant search for innovation which she strives to reflect this philosophy in her collection. Staying true to her design aesthetic with minimalist geometric forms inspired by design, the line was also organic in nature with hues of orange, green and metallic tones. Interested in expressing a sobriety for well-being and good-natured living, the collection was modern and relax as it was elegant.

EVE GRAVEL‘s coquette collection brought you on a nostalgic affair to the romance of yesteryear. With lace sweetheart tops, flouncy dresses and dainty culottes, the mood was feminine and soft with a nautical sensibility. I was crushing on a printed skirt that made a splash amongst the soft color palette of cream, white and olive. The line offering wearable pieces that brings you from day to night, will sure to be a hit come spring.
