Barilà Spring 2012 – MFW21

One could assume that the motto, Live the Life you Love, branded by women’s wear line Barilà, is inspired by Montreal’s joie-de-vivre spirit. Quite fitting, as for Spring 2012 the local label created flowy and flattering frocks designed with a girl-about-town in mind. Inspired by a vintage piece labeled the “American shirt-dress”, designer Sabrina Barilà updated this classic find with a modern-city twist sure to please her hometown fans. The proof: we overheard a bevy of bloggers gasping at the sea of the light and flowy floral prints, wide leg trousers, and cut-out tops. Ironic as the model’s non-chalance posture were canny to poses seen on fashion site Lookbook.nu!

Kudos for presenting a stylish and sophisticated collection, and the ingenuity of staging the shoot for the Spring 2012 looks. Bravo Barilà!
