Bargain Shopping: Black Friday

Black Friday 2009

Yesterday was Black Friday for our friends south of the border.  Peddling the ultimate in deals-to-be-had before the holidays, Black Friday has been known to be hectic and, yes, sometimes even fatal in the U.S.

Well, cross-border shop no more!  Retailers across the country have also been vying for Canadians to spend money locally by creating “Black Friday” deals right in our own backyard.  Combine that with the always thrilling (no sarcasm) sample sale and it’s like a shopper’s cheap Chinese buffet but with AAA Ribs being served. Here are some of the great places around Montreal that I will be hitting up soon.

Cours Mont Royal

On top of up to 70% off from November 27 – 29, 2009, Les Cours Mont Royal invites you to register online for a chance to win a $1000 shopping spree.  With many amazing stores to choose from (American Apparel to Attik and Arithmetik), this is definitely one of Montreal’s better malls. For more info about the boutiques and the contest, click here.

Reborn

On November 28 and 29, 2009, super hip boutique Reborn opens up the treasure chest with a warehouse and sample sale featuring various Canadian and international fashion-forward brands such as: Denis Gagnon, Travis Taddeo, Cheap Monday and Acne Jeans to name a few.  If unique fashion is what you seek, then this is the sale for you.

Diesel Warehouse

Once again we are happy to report that Diesel will be opening their warehouse to the public from Thursday, December 3 through Sunday, December 6, 2009.  Benefit from exclusive samples and favourite cuts all available at once.  Can’t make it? Then it’s full price for you at www.diesel.com.

Finally, here’s an awesome video that I have been meaning to post for some time now from photographer Jean-Philippe Perron and his fab team.  Enjoy!
