ADIDAS SPRING/ SUMMER 2010 COLLECTION

Gym Dance Top

Originals by Originals (ObyO) is the line that “Celebrates Originality”. Sure, David Beckam/Design J. Bond blends luxury with the American uniform (otherwise known as “sportswear”).  Technically refined, Japanese designer Kazuki, creates high-tech streetwear with special consideration for details (and we know, it’s all in the details).  But wild child, Jeremy Scott is back with more of his outrageous reinterpretations of the most iconic Adidas products.  The spring/summer 2010 is all “rockstar” inspired, so the only decision to make is rhinestones, fringes, or prints!

JS Wings Rainbow

JS Wings White

The popular JS Wings are back in two new colors and materials – a rainbow synthetic and a white patent with gold reflect.

A couple of new styles are the JS Rockstar, made out of genuine leather in a metallic tone with lots of rhinestones, and the JS 3 Tongue Lo, the loafer-sneaker with three layers of tassels!  Safe to say, these shoes where not made for running, or even walking…they are strictly for strutting!

The ObyO line falls somewhere between sports, fashion, and pop culture and is ready to drop February 1st, 2010 in select boutiques, followed by a second launch in Originals stores on March 15th.  On your marks, get set…

The Adidas by Stella McCartney collaboration launched in February, 2005, continues to challenge and redefine the look of women’s sports attire by harmonizing fashion with function.  The collection has now grown to include two new categories, triathlon and cycling, but practically every other sport is covered including tennis, golf, swimming, running, yoga, and dance.  I can say that quite a few pieces can be worn during sweat-free activities.

Jacket Crop Gilet

A special shout out indeed goes to the Image Jacket in metallic pool blue and the Crop Gilet in black.  You can be a runner by day and a super hero by night.

In the Gym Studio line, the CU Denim Tight in faded blue finally delivers a real “skin tight” look without the energy required to yank on “real jeans” that are this tight!  But for Pete’s sake, avoid camel toe at all cost!!

Denim Tights

Let your “Flashdance” show with Gym Dance lightweight fabrics and relaxed silhouettes. The Adidas, Better Place Program, ensures that many of the materials used in the collection come from sustainable sources, produced without dangerous chemicals and manufactured under advanced workplace standards that prioritize waste and energy management.  Basically, you can avoid having to do any major lifestyle changes yourself, as long as your clothes are doing it for you!  Support Stella in the realization of world peace through conscious clothing and look good while doing it.

You can check out retailers such a Holt Renfrew for the 10 collections as well as Adidas Sports Performance and select sports retailers around the world.
