Get Naked with Clarins Nudes.
Get Naked this August with the new collection called Nude Inspirations from European beauty power-house Clarins. There’s really nothing worse than having to glop on battle paint or a hot summer’s day, so Clarins proposes some basic products inspired by the great nudes includiing 9 new shades of Single Eye Colours and one Colour Quartet for those who rather not think about, what goes with what. The concept – and corresponding shades – are inspired by natural country girls….go figure….it takes Clarins to make a collection that looks as natural as a farmgirl with no makeup!
New for lips is 6 new permanent shades of Joli Rouge lipsticks. Traditional lipstick is out but this new range of sheer shaded are on point, trend-wise. The vibrant colours combined with a transparent finish makes your lips feel soft and sensual but don’t leave the lips stained or looking like Ronad McDonald (I think I just killed lipstick for a lot of guys). My favorite part of any lip product the fragrance; if it smells ike plastic #7, it ain’t going on my lips. Joli Rouge lipsticks taste and smell like blackcurrant with a bit of liquorice and vanilla.
I like it as a tea, so why wouldn’t I wear it all day?!
The quintessential item is the Face & Blush Duo Collector Compact. This is a two-tier palette with both face powder and blusher. Embossed with sparkling gold ears of wheat, the country/nature theme is in full effect. The packaging luckily is a bit more modern…silver compact, translucent red base in a red suedette wallet (always the first thing I loose).
A new product to Clarins, but sure to be a hit is the Eyebrow Kit ‘’Pro’’ Palette. Not only does it have everything to do perfect brows but the shadows can be used on lids, as a highlighter and eyeliner. Included is black, brown, blonde and a pinky-beige shadow. Tols included are a double-ended applicator, mini tweezers, eyebrow wax to set in place and an eyebrow brush. Natural may sometimes look wild…but every once and a while it’s not a bad idea to tend to the garden…enjoy the rest of your summer.
