Travel Essentials

In one weeks time I make the big move to London, UK, to complete an internship and live out my days sloshing around in rain boots and tailored trench coats. I’m perhaps a little too anal when it comes to making sure things are packed properly (I have a passport cover that I covet as much as some of my purses), so I’ve been looking into suitcases, overnight bags, and a variety of travel accessories to prepare myself for every possible travel situation. In my search, I discovered some amazing eco-luxe travel items that will urge anyone to just pack up and go!

This set of three suitcases by Heys is amazing! Made from 100% ABS recycled plastic, it is lightweight and eco-friendly, and comes in a mirage of colours. I especially love it in the silver or bronze.

The simple and chic prints of Apple and Bee’s make-up bags remind me of something you’d find at Anthropologie. The Fold-Out WC is made of organic cotton with a waterproof interior, and three separate compartments to store anything and everything you’d ever need for travel. Available in all eight of their pretty patterns, it’s great paired with their overnight bag (made of organic cotton and lined with bamboo silk) for a quick weekend getaway.

On any long journey where you are crossing time zones and sleep is hard to come by, eye masks are necessary. Laura Langley’s sleep masks are the ultimate luxury. With two layers of an organic cotton/bamboo blend, these masks block out all light, and are soft on your skin.
