Bombs Away with Seed Bombs!

Ever walk by an empty lot full of garbage and cracked pavement and long for it to be filled with lush grass and flowers in bloom? Get involved in a safe, non-violent method of eco-terrorism with seed bombs! They’re grenades full of seeds that you throw into spaces that are in dire need of some vegetation. You can buy pre-made Seedboms, either individually or in packs of 4 from Kabloom, or you can make your own with recipes from the Guerilla Gardening link below.

Go get ‘em gardeners!

  1. When I was a kid I used to pick dandilions when they had gone to seed and take them to an empty lot that had at one time been a coal yard — this is way back in the early 1960s — It was barren and black when I was between 10 and 12 years old, by the time I was in my late teens it was a sea of yellow every spring! My favourite flower is still the dandilion!

We now have an empty lot near our townhouse complex — so perhaps this spring I will start spreading calendula seed along the borders of the lot!
