Curl Up with a Polar Bear
Last year, during the holidays, I was skiing up at Whistler with my family. After a couple days of negative 30 degree weather (plus windchill, I might add), we were exhausted. That night, barely able to walk, we went out to dinner, and I have to admit that I was in serious need of something warm and comforting.
I wouldn’t normally have looked at the cocktail menu for that particular fix, but something caught my eye. A Polar Bear. Warm and creamy, but with that extra little kick, it was the perfect drink that night, and has now become my Cold Nights Cocktail of choice.
Polar Bear Recipe
- 1.5 oz peppermint schnapps
- 1.5 oz crème de cacao
- Top off with hot chocolate
Serve in a pretty mug, and garnish with a sprig of mint, a candy cane, mini marshmallows or whipping cream. Then curl up by a fireplace and enjoy!
