Clap your hands and say Yeh!

I recently had some friends visit me in Montreal, and we spent the entire time enjoying the hot weather, exploring the city and seeing what it had to offer. And while we found quite a few amazing places to eat, when you’re looking for a cold and refreshing snack, there’s nothing better than Yeh!

This adorable self-serve frozen yoghurt shop on St. Laurent lets you create your own delicious dessert. It’s pretty simple really, you grab a bowl, choose your flavour of frozen yoghurt, choose your toppings (and believe me, you won’t know where to start) and pay by the weight.

The toppings they offer range from the decadent to the healthy, and with so much selection it’s hard not to go overboard. My favourite? Plain yoghurt with lots of strawberries, chunks of cookie dough and chocolate sauce. And if frozen yoghurt isn’t your thing, Yeh! offers other treats including crepes, waffles and smoothies.

If this doesn’t sound tempting enough, eating at Yeh! supports a local and environmentally-conscious company. The bowls and cutlery are biodegradable and made without petroleum products. If you’re eating there, you can use glass bowls, and the staff tries to deal with responsible suppliers when possible.

Yeh! is a perfect place for a date, a dessert with friends or a snack while you’re shopping. And if you’re not in Montreal, don’t worry. With a concept this fantastic, it’s probably just a matter of time until Yeh! comes to your city.
