The Style BEHIND The Tourist

If you’re looking to watch a fashionable movie, with captivating settings of Europe teemed with two of the most gorgeous Hollywood actors, then you’ve got The Tourist.

Frank (Johnny Depp) is a tourist drifting through European cities in pursuit to mend his broken heart. Elise (Angelina Jolie) is a ravishing English woman of elegance and splendor who becomes absorbed with a game of hide and seek across Venice to find her notorious lover whose identity is masked from the audience. In effort to protect her wanted man, she deliberately crosses paths with Frank who she uses as a ploy to delude the police.

Besides the stunning sceneries of Paris and Venice, Angelina Jolie is the main eye-candy of this spy-thriller. With her smoky eye gaze, long hair, and an opulent wardrobe, she yet again pulls off an effortless beauty. Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood who’s most notable for her outrageous designs in Alice in Wonderland, Chicago, and Nine, has created classic pieces reminiscent of the 1950’s for both Jolie and Depp. Some of Jolie’s hottest outfits in the film are the silk white gown, and the much featured beige dress complimented with a tan-colored capelet and Salvatore Ferragamo stilettos. One unique item that dazzles onscreen is a massive choker that was created from a vintage tiara that paired well with a black gown.

Besides wearing a fetching white tuxedo, Johnny Depp’s style doesn’t scream much attention as his wardrobe fits that of a traveling school teacher. Yet, he always manages to look fashionable and interesting even in a simple jacket and shirt.

What the film lacks in suspense and chemistry it gains in beauty of all sorts!
