LOCALE: Fashion/ Community/ Art
I heart art and I’m especially gaga for shoes. How great is it that footwear boutique Locale carries my two loves! A new style-concept shop brought to you by the ALDO Group, the boutique celebrates fashion, the arts and community. Currently located at Rockland Center and Place Montreal Trust, a third location opened last month; the downtown flagship store (770 Ste. Catherine St. W) offers unisex footwear and accessories of their in-house Locale brand along with designer lines Camper, Coach, and Sam Edelman. The brand caters to those with distinguished taste and attracted to what’s cool and trendy. A wonderful perk: if they don’t carry the size of your desired pretty pump, no need to fret as their Butler Service ensures that your preferred pair will be delivered to your door step!
Being one to promote talents de chez nous, I have a great affinity with this store as it creates an engaging cultural shopping experience by curating some great art from local artist. They’ve chosen three Canadian artist to display their artwork in their respective city. Really fab as it’s an innovative way to create seasonal campaign images.
Photographer Jaime Campbell is the local artist featured in the Montreal flagship store.
What’s even cooler is their hip and trendy seasonal magazine. The Spring/Summer 2011 edition pays homage to style icons. Catch 514′s Sabrina Barila, Denis Gagnon and Yso featured in their editorials.
