Sweaters – Comfort Zone

Fall has never been so warm and colorful like this year. Eventually, it’s going to get chilly in the next few weeks, and to boost my “pre-sub zero” mood I started to think about sweaters. This year I picture BIG.

It’s all about volume, chunky cable knits, waffle-stitch wool blends, funky colors and bold crazy prints. You don’t have to go to far to find your favorite sweater. I am certain that most of us have that cozy “cold weather friendly” staple.

For those of you still hunting for a new cool sweater, I have a few suggestions. Opt for an over-sized shape or asymmetric hem to layer with sheer tees.

Also, try investing in a warm and cozy turtleneck sweater, after all it’s all about the neck. Nobody wants to get sick before holidays! And did I mention that you can also skip the scarf? ;)

Here is my latest addition to my sweaters family – the BCBG Maylin cabled sweater. It comes in red and creamy-beige. This sweater is very versatile, and you can wear it with pants, skirts and dresses. This time I pared it with cut out denim shorts and opaque tights.

Stay warm!
