It’s a new year! With that comes a list of resolutions committing to being a more responsible and conscientious individual. Yes the occasional late night eats or one-to-many martinis might be hard to resist, but fear not for when it comes to our shopping habits. Trendi boutique (4518 St-Denis), is a new kid on the retail block offering a line of casual clothing with a 2.0 twist. HEC graduate, designer Liliane Anctil is suggesting a new paradigm for trade in Montreal and has created a unique personal shopping experience at visitor’s first step. Greeted by two iPads velcroed to the wall, customers are requested to register their name and email address. Here comes the fun!- once selection is made, you scan your membership card and bygone paper waste as transactions are paid via debit or credit and receipt is sent directly to your email!
Trendi boutique is virtually a little eco-store that can with all hangers, bags and fitting room stools being made from 100% recycled cardboard as well as, lighting created with LED bulbs. What’s more, the sustainable merchandise is fabricated locally and sold at a great price point ranging from $7.99 to $45 for casual tops and bottoms, flirty dresses and rocking accessories.
Taking the personal shopping experience to another level, the brand hosts a monthly contest in search of the Trendi girl. By way of online vote, winner is awarded with a $500 Trendi wardrobe.
