Engineered Garments

Created back in 1999 by Japanese born American fashion designer Daiki Suzuki, Engineered Garments is Suzuki’s way of choosing good dynamic designs using patterns that can be modified for today’s use by re-working the fits as lightly as possible. By being careful not to reproduce vintage designs, while adding some things and taking others off, Suzuki manages to balance it all out to make it look new.

The name of the brand originally came from a pattern maker hired to draft the first round of patterns. She claimed that the clothes weren’t designed, but were “engineered” due to the vast amount of details involved on each garments.

Known for its American sportswear, outdoor clothing and military uniforms, Engineered Garments brings what’s missing to American sportswear nowadays. With their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, the brand showcases their synergistic elements of classic American menswear with modern updates such as eye-catching details & bold fabrics.
