New Moon: Vampires Dressed to Kill
Today is the day many teen girls have been dreaming about, but the burning question remains: Team Edward or Team Jacob? New Moon is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Living in L.A., it is impossible to escape all the madness, from Ryan Seacrest’s morning readings, to billboards, to local news coverage of the World premiere held on Tuesday night (where fans camped out for five days to catch a glimpse of the fashionable vamp cast).
I’ve have read the entire Twilight series and am not ashamed to admit it. I actually bought Twilight on my flight out to L.A. last August (By the way, Eclipse, the next book, is the best in the series). Nowadays, it is impossible to pass by a magazine stand and not see any of the cast’s faces plastered on People, US Weekly, Teen Vogue, and even Men’s Health and GQ . The Twilight cast is the modern day (b) Rat pack, minus the lounge singing, cigarette smoking, and female members. They are Hollywood’s IT crowd and Style Trendsetters. For instance, when a photo was leaked of Kristen Stewart wearing a Billabong “Hannah” jacket during the filming of New Moon, the jacket was immediately sold out nationwide.
Designers have been flocking to dress the stars for the their premieres. Below are pictures from the official world premiere here in L.A., which looked more like the Oscars red carpet than a regular ol’ screening. Which vampire or shape shifter (NOT WEREWOLF) was the Best Dressed of the Night? (Vote Below)
Robert Pattinson in Gucci
Ashley Greene in Prabal Gurung
Kellan Lutz in Armani
Dakota Fanning in Valentino
Kristen Stewart in Oscar De La Renta
Taylor Lautner in Calvin Klein
